The Facilities

Saw feed at RIMRIM has 30 plus years of experience in providing steel work and erection services to a wide range of clients in a variety of industries.

A new purpose-built facility, opened in 2003, has almost doubled the production area to 37,500 square metres and expanded capacity by approximately half, to 350 tonnes of steel a week, allowing larger contracts to be undertaken.

There is ease of access to and from the facility, which is located on the Midmill Industrial Estate, just off the A96 and only ten minutes from Aberdeen.

By combining previously separate premises on a single 10 acre site, the family business has generated greater efficiency and improved interface across the complete range of services.

The new facility, built by RIM, includes an investment of around £100,000 in the latest lifting equipment.

The re-investment policy has also recently seen almost £500,000 expenditure on cranes and access equipment for efficient and safe working on sites around the country.

Further development at Midmill includes an extension to the facility and increased automation.

RIM has over 90 employees, many of them long serving. The team includes fabricators, quantity surveyors, draughtsmen and erectors. All operators are fully trained in the use of plant and equipment.

The company is a member of the independent safety organisation, SAFE.

Care for the environment includes all waste materials being recycled or disposed of in line with requirements.
